Case Studies
Below are some examples of recent client work. As much as we would like to show you all of the work we have done, some work we are not allowed to show. There are some clients that prefer that we do not share the work we have done for them for a variety of reasons and we will always respect our clients wishes.
Our work is the result of understanding our clients unique business needs. Such as each person is different from one another so are businesses. We strive to understand your individual business and then we develop a plan to achieve your goals. No approach is ever the same that is why we work along side you.

Cherry Pit Cafe: Deerfield, Illinois

The Cherry Pit Cafe was a restaurant we frequented until its closure in 2006. Fast forward to April of 2016 and we were approached by 3 of the ex employees of the original Cherry Pit Cafe in helping them establish a business and run the business side of the restaurant. They were currently unemployed and wanted to get opened as soon as possible.
We quickly made sure that they had a lease in place with the owners of the building. Once a verbal contract was established we began work on the S-Corp filing that we needed to make because they would now be employee owners. After the filing was accepted and processed we submitted documents for a Tax Identification Number, a State Tax Identification Number, and set up an online account with the state to pay monthly sales taxes.
We then needed to submit a business license application with the village, submit forms with the county, and set up inspections with the fire department and health department.
Once all of our paperwork was in place we were able to attain legal counsel so that they could review the lease. We were able to negotiate very favorable terms and were very happy with the outcome.
Now with all the necessary paperwork in place it was time to find merchant services, payroll services, banking services, and various insurance policies. We were able to quickly research the best rates for our clients and have been satisfied with the outcomes.
From the time we were consulted until the time the restaurant opened, only 2 weeks had passed. In the 3rd week we were able to formalize a marketing strategy that would grow our online presence over 600% in 4 weeks compared to the previous occupant of the space 10 years in business. We also had 2 stories published in the local newspapers announcing the grand opening and the story of the restaurant to the public.
In the restaurant business it is common to be unprofitable in the first year of business but fortunately that was not the case for our client. Since we began consulting, the restaurant has maintained profitability while expanding its reach. We now provide accounting and marketing services and we continue to see results.

Activ8 Chicago

We previously worked as the interim Directors of Marketing for Activ8 Chicago. This is a not for profit organization focusing on three main elements. Education: Where we raised money for scholarships, provide mentoring, as well as engaging students who need motivation to attend college or to stay in college. Parental Involvement: Encouraging parents to support their children whom are in college as well as reminding the students of the importance of an education. Community Engagement: Where the organization reaches out to the community by creating forums, workshops, health expos, and many other things. We spent a significant amount of time on marketing initiatives for Activ8 Chicago and it was the most gratifying work we have ever done.
